Does The "Plus" Sign Mean Boy or Girl

So it is true. Christie is pregnant which means one thing: I will be a slave for the next 9 months or longer.

So here is the story. Christie was 5 days late and she decided to take a test. Negative. She had been on and off each month so we figured for her it was normal. 8 days later, Thanksgiving Day, another test. What to our eyes could this be. Positive. I was so excited to tell everyone but she didn't want to believe it at first. 4 hours later she decided to confirm with another test and again positive.

I was able to keep this exciting news a secret for 6 1/2 hours. At Thanksgiving dinner i kept bringing up pregnancy topics to start a conversation. Finally her father asks "when are you guys having kids." Right then i blurted out "About 9 months or so." The family was so excited to hear the great news. I figured since her whole family was with us for Thanksgiving it would be a good time to share.Of course being so excited I also called my whole family and told them too.

We told everyone that we were not going to tell friends until we went to the doctor and felt it was a good time so please don't tell anyone else. We finally came up with telling everyone else and posting this blog Christmas Day.

What was the first mistake I made? Telling The family members.

The secret was kept for one week until we found out that Christies mom told everyone at her work in Richfield. (Everyone that she works with travels from cedar city once a week with the dermatologist) Also christie used to work with all of them and is good friends with a few. Christies sister then told 1 person at Applebees (where christie also used to work for 5 years) and anyone that knows how quickly news travels in Utah, its fast.

Second Mistake? Going to applebees to eat with two of our good friends in cedar city.

Right after we sat down we had someone ask Christie if there was anything she wanted to tell her and we played it off the best we could. (We thought we were still good) 5 minutes later, the girl her sister told comes to the table to congratulate us and let us know how excited she was to hear that she was pregnant. So Mike and Laura, you were pretty much the first friends to find out on accident. By the end of the meal the manager came up and said, "congratulations, i heard you were pregnant."

So here we are telling you 3 weeks earlier than planned so that hopefully you don't hear it from someone else.
We are very excited to find out what it is and can't wait to have the little bundle of joy in our home.

Here is Christie holding her tests. Of course she didn't believe the first one, so hey!!! lets take another. (this was the second picture taken. you will find out why we took 2 when you see the next pic.)

I told her to take a picture with her tests and the picture says it all. She put them against her cheek right next to her mouth. So gross. the cap may be on the end but still, gross. The funny thing is it didn't even cross her mind until i said something. Then she became disgusted of what she just did.

Catching Up

Wow we apologize for be so incoherently busy that we could not keep our friends and family updated on our exciting life. Yes, we still only have our cellular devices for our picture taking moments so it will have to do. Here are some random pics we had on our cell phones so bare with the randomness.

So here is by far the most random event of all time. Here is the story of my pet rooster/chicken. One beautiful morning I was awakened by the noise of a cock-a-doodle-doo. Yes, and keep in mind this is in Las Vegas. I stumble down the stairs trying to talk myself out of what I was hearing. Sure enough to my wondering eyes may appear a rooster/chicken in my front yard. I am not sure what the difference is between a rooster and a chicken since this is the first time I have been close enough to see a real life one (lame I know). I tried to steer that stupid thing into the road or even into someone else's yard. This scheme worked for ummmm about 5 minutes then there that stinking thing was again in my yard. I am pretty much the most pathetic animal lover there is to man so I figured this monster was hungry since it was at our house for 5 days. I decided that dog food was a good choice. Bad choice! that monster stuck around so i stopped with the feeding hoping it would get hungry enough to go back to where it came from. Sure enough it was gone. I was kind of sad when I found that it left because it was always exciting to come home and check if it was still there. I got over that sadness within minutes. If anyone has seen my friend make sure he is in a good yard:)
Clint had some friends from Phoenix visiting so we decided to take the to the Mandalay Bay shark aquarium. We had tons of fun. There is something about aquatic life that amazes me. I could have been there all day watching their every move.
Here is Dora the fish. She is so famous I couldn't''t resist getting a picture with her.

Cell phone pic gotta love it NOT!
A SHARK yikes. This is the one of reasons I avoid the ocean. The second if Jellyfish.:O
Can you believe I was touching the same animal that killed the croc hunter! Danger is my middle. Christie Danger Fink sounds soo good doyou agree?

Here are Brian's little boys. Mason is on the left and Kenny on the right sitting on Brian's grave site in Panguitch
Here is cash in his beloved bee costume for Halloween. Doesn't he look like he loves it hahaha just kidding. I swear I am not an animal torturer.

We tried to capture the action of him trying to shake that dang thing off but it was not budging poor little cash. At least he was warm:)

Thank You

As everyone knows the funeral services were held last saturday on the 25th. The day was beautiful. I just wanted to thank those of you who came and showed your support and love for Brian as well as our family. I know that Brian would be pleased to see some of his closest friends and family show up. Some traveled over 2 thousand miles to be there.

We appreciate the love, support and prayers that you have given us during this time. We would not be able to make it through without them. Its amazing how families and friends come together when a crisis arises. It makes you realize how close we really are and the love we have for each other.

I am grateful to know that families can and will be together for all of time. Nothing can take us apart. Although Brian is not physically with us now, he will always be in our hearts, thoughts and prayers and in everything we do. Brian is now in the greatest place and we will soon see him again.

Thank you all for everything.

Funeral Services

Sorry. there was an update to the address from when i posted this morning. Iput provo as the city but the funeral is in Orem. For those who don't know they are cities right next to each other. I have edited the post so what you see below is now correct.

Its day 2 and emotions are still just wandering. Until this afternoon it has felt as though this still isnt real and your just waiting for him to walk through the door or give a call. We finally had the opportunity to go visit Brians body. Reality has finally kicked in. It was so hard to even walk through the doors just knowing that your brother is on the other side and not going to beable to greet, hug or talk to you. Our family has never had a more emotional time, but just glad to be together for it all. The strongest one in the family was Brians 3 year old, Mason. He kept telling his mother to not cry and that he would be there to help and that she can be happy. He is such a strong spirit. Every action, look and saying is just like Brian. He is his walking image. Everyones support has been great and we are so grateful to have such friends and family to be there for us. We appreciate that.

This is what i have found out so far with the funeral services

BRIAN FINK WILL BE MISSED

For those of you that havn''t heard my brother, Brian Fink passed away last night. We are currently in shock and denial and its been a rough morning full of prayers and tears. We know whats happened and just don't want to believe it.

Its just so suprising that within one moment someones life could change dramatically. I am just very blessed that we had the opportunity to spend last weekend with him during the deer hunt. He was doing so well and looked great.

He was a very good person and loved his family very much. He would do absolutely anything for them. He just turned 27 on sunday, 10/19, and he sounded good. He will be leaving behind his wife Caitlyn of 4 1/2 years and his two handsome sons 3yr Mason and 6month Kenneth

We love you Brian very much and you are going to be extemely missed. You make up so much of our family and i know were a great influence on all of us. You were definitely someone to look up to. Our prayers are with your family. They will be taken care of. I am glad we have the gospel in our lives. Its something we can turn to at all times. The best part is to know that we will be able to see you again. Again we love you.

I am at a block for words at this point. The whole family will be reuniting in provo by this afternoon. We should know what the plans are by tomorrow and i will do my best to keep everyone informed.

WEEKEND TO SAN DIEGO/BIRFDAY

Happy birthday to me YEAH

On Wednesday night before my birthday I came home to a delightful surprise. Yep finally got bar stools for my kitchen and .......

The beautiful back splash that I have been wanting forever. My little babe put together the bar stools. So with the help of Megan ( well she probably did most of it) they put up the back plash up while I was at work. What a surprise. I thought that was enough. Nope, then on my bday Clint gave me some perfume and a new coach purse. Loved them. Then he took me to get some sushi and fillet Mignon. Wow what a great day. Thanks babe and thanks Megan for everything.

I think I need some new canisters. Green is my least fav color and they totally don't go now what do you think.

We took a short trip to San Diego. We went deep sea fishing. Can I say WOW it was so much fun. We had to catch the live bate in our hands and poke them in the nose and you had to change it every 3 minutes. Can you say fun. Well I caught two fish both pink and too small boo. Everybody else was catching tons of fish one foot away from me. I could not figure out what I was doing wrong. Clint said I smelled to nice to go fishing and the fish don't like that. Haha what a bunch of crock.

I hate this shirt for 1 it says snorkeling is sexy and 2 it is the most disgusting color of yellow I have ever seen.

random picture of daisy with a pink dress I found for 2 dollars. She hates it but I love it so it stays on.

deep seaing it nice sunset huh. We couldn't take pics of our fish cause our stinking hands would never dry out at sea and we only have cell phone cameras cause yep I broke another one.
Back of the boat everyone said the back is the best fishing I think they lied so they could get all of the fish dang them.

We also went to San Diego zoo. We had so much fun. I love going to zoos because I am such an animal lover. The only animals I don't like are the boring birds and the snakes yuck and scary.

We watched the gorillas forever they are so much like humans it kind of freaked me out. I told Clint I want a monkey and of course he says no every time

Oh the Polar bear was such a show off. He or she was so pretty I want a polar bear for a pet too.

We also went to the temple. This is where we got sealed and we have not been back since. It was prettier than I remember. I was so grateful to be able to go back.

the temple at night which is now our new screen saver

Look at that. I love the San Diego temple because you can see it from the freeway. You go around a turn and there it is sitting on top of a hill perfect in every aspect.

LABOR DAY

Sorry these are so old but I have been so busy. The fink fam rented a huge cabin up on paragonah mountain. It was a blast just relaxing four wheeling and hangin out with the fam.

Family pic. Everybody hates these
The grand kids and the grand parents so adorable huh?
Sidney, Jocelyn, Mason, and Bradaen
This picture would have been good if I had showered and Clint would not have worn his stupid orthodontics t-shirt that he oh so loves. Webster's orthodontics there is your walking advertiser.

Four wheeling
Oh sexy babe in his cool gear and his cool dirt bike

Quail Lake

Clint and I both had the day off yesterday so we decided to head up to Utah and enjoy the cooler weather at Quail Lake with our friends the Romney's. We had such a blast because we haven't seen them for so long and their little boy Cohen is so big. Clint and I could not get over how good of a baby he is. He was like a little baby statue, not even a little peep while we were there. We had a blast wake boarding, wake surfing, and eating budding meat sandwich's.

Here is Clint and Cam showing off how much they love each other by wake surfing together BFFL.
This is me trying to attempt this wake surfing thing. I was a little frightened by the fact I could fall and become decapitated by the propeller
Best Baby in the world and Lindsay. Look at those cheeks resting on his life jacket so cute.
Clint catching a little bit of air
and of course me catching even bigger air. Not really haha
Cam would not let go of the dang rope and insisted on holding on until we found his surf board again and his face is priceless.
Me and my babe after a long fun day at the Lake. A little wind blown don't you think

24th of July

Well we have had the pictures for some while but we never had time to post. So Clint uploaded the pictures and I am adding the text. I decided I had time to post since all of my patients are sleeping. It has been so busy lately because all my patients are catching respiratory infections. That means a lot of antibiotics, vital signs, and charting charting charting! I will have to admit that charting is my least favorite part of nursing. I am always worried that I am going to get sued so I always make my charting very thorough. So for the 24th of July Clint was able to go to Panguitch to visit his family and see parade, ride horses, four wheelers and dirt bikes and hang out with all the cousins, nephews and nieces. I was SO mad because i had to work. Now i know how Clint feels when i go do something when hes working. Not fun at all. Plus to top it off i had to stay at home by myself at night without the puppers because we decided to control the pet population and took the dogs to get fixed. For me in Vegas, I didn't get much sleep those couple of days.

Here are the newest twins. They are identical but they are still different sizes.
here is Kenny the newest Fink so cute
Jocelyn always has the mischievous face it is so funny. I always wonder what she is thinking.
Mason hates picking his nose but it looks like his finger is still in his nose and he does not look happy about it.
Braden thought the sirens were too loud for his tender ears.
Panguitch always has the best Candy at the parade. They passed out dog treats, Popsicles, homemade, root beer, and band aides. What a selection huh? Now you know why I was so bummed I missed it.
The only kids on the road. They were willing to risk their lives because there was a float 5 feet away.
This is the highlight of the Panguitch parade. The kazoo band. These very old ladies play a kazoo . You can never really hear the tune but it is the funniest thing that you will ever see I just laugh and laugh for the rest of the day.
Look at my little metro cowboy. I still try to tell him he needs to wear the attire if he is going to ride a horse like a cowboy.

What a good uncle he is. Rid em cowboy giddy up!
Waving like a cheeseball
Here is my worst fear flashing right before me. TWINS. This generation is Clint's side of the family. I am doomed. They say it skips a generation and I am going to be up next. Already three hopefully no more.
All grand kids all tuckered out from a long day of races and candy.
